  1. Dear Mr. McCartney, I’ve been very interested in the lute for a long time and have been trying to teach myself. With frustration, I abandoned my endeavor. I do play guitar a bit, but only for composing and sing-alongs. My concern is I have a deformity on my right hand and arm. I usually find a way to over come by adopting my own technique. In saying all this, my question is do you think I may still find some benefits in taking your online program? I feel optimistic. I think I just need direction, but just wanted to get your opinion. Thanks for your time, Steve

    1. Dear Steve,
The course is designed so that there is a steady learning curve that encourages a gentle progression between new techniques and other difficulties. I imagine that if you’re used to developing a technique that works specifically for your needs the course would generally work. However, what I would suggest is that you sign up for the course (if you want to take it!) and if within a few days it looks like it might not work for you, then send me a message and I’ll refund you.
      All the best,
